5) Di Quebec lebih 1500 ahli kesatuan sekerjanya yang terbesar iaitu telah berdemonstrasi terhadap kelengahan kerajaan untuk berunding dengan mereka mengenai pelbagai isu

6) Di Wales, ratusan ribu peminat bolasepak berdemonstrasi terhadap pendudukan Israel di bumi Palestin.

7) Di India, ratusan ribu rakyat berdemonstrasi menentang kenaikan harga minyak kerana mengganggu musim perayaan. Kenaikan itu juga menyebabkan naiknya harga barang-barang keperluan di negara masing-masing.

8) Di Docklands, ada demonstrasi berlaku menentang pameran persenjataan.

9) Di negara-negara Timur Tengah sedang berlaku peperangan, demonstrasi, pertumpahan darah dsb. disebabkan kumpulan militan IS dsb.

10) Di Germany, Hungary, Finland dan banyak negara Eropah sedang menghadapi kebanjiran lebih 340,000 pelarian Islam dari Syria dan Palestin cuba memasuki negara masing-masing.

11) Di China baru-baru ini telah berlaku kejatuhan saham yang amat dahsyat akibat devaluasi matawang. Walaupun disebut ada pelabur-pelabur jutawan yang kerugian, namun, kita dapat lihat, mereka masih tersenyum dan perniagaan tetap berjalan seperti biasa. Seolah-olah tiada impak yang besar terhadap mereka. (seolah-olah sengaja dilakukan untuk menimbulkan panik)

12) Di Malaysia, budaya demonstrasi besar-besaran telah bermula.

Di Malaysia juga telah wujud masalah pencerobohan pendatang asing tanpa izin.

Malaysia juga menghadapi potensi masalah kebanjiran pelarian Rohingya yang kebanyakannya beragama Islam.

Jika dilihat dan diperhatikan betul-betul dan dilukiskan peta dunia, kita akan dapati terdapat satu 'pattern' atau corak di seluruh dunia sedang berlaku.

Kecuali beberapa buah negara besar dan maju yang masih belum merasakan bahang ini. Apa yang menyebabkan mereka begitu 'istimewa' dan tidak diserang pula? Adakah mereka bertanggungjawab terhadap kekecohan yang sedang berlaku?

Terdapat 3 tema utama hari ini ialah "Demonstrasi Jalanan", "Pelarian" dan "Islam".

Andaikan terdapat 'arkitek dalam konspirasi-konspirasi' ini adalah mereka yang bertanggungjawab terhadap kekecohan di seluruh dunia hari ini. Kita akan dapati satu bentuk modus operandi yang sedang berlaku :

1) Ada sekumpulan pendemonstrasi yang mempunyai kepentingan untuk memecahbelahkan perpaduan (kita andaikan 30% dari kumpulan demonstrasi) - sehingga mendatangkan satu budaya merosakkan harta benda atau memprovokasi dengan memijak-mijak gambar, membakar bendera negara dll. supaya menaikkan kemarahan sekumpulan yang lain pula.

2) Ada sekumpulan pendemonstrasi yang ingin pemimpin turun (kita andaikan 20%)

3) Ada sekumpulan pendemonstrasi yang tidak dikenali samada rakyat atau pendatang kerana rupa parasnya (kita andaikan 30%)

4) Lebihan 20% sahaja pendemonstrasi ini yang mahukan keadilan dan demokrasi serta berdemonstrasi secara aman. Itupun segelintir dari mereka ada yang ingin "kebebasan untuk mendapat hak" bagi "menghalalkan kufur dan maksiat"

Jika benar andaian ini, maka kumpulan (1) dan kumpulan (3) terutamanya kumpulan (3) harus dikawal, kerana kemungkinan kumpulan ini telah dibayar dengan lumayan, diseludup masuk secara besar-besaran, dilatih khas dengan budaya tempatan termasuk bahasa serta cara melakukan rusuhan/provokasi. Dan akhirnya, mereka 'dilepaskan' untuk bergaul dengan pendemonstrasi-pendemonstrasi lain serta melakukan provokasi bagi melaga-lagakan pelbagai bangsa supaya berlaku pergaduhan dan kekecohan.

Dilihat media-media asing juga seolah-olah telah pun "memilih siapa yang perlu diwawancara" semasa demonstrasi berlaku. Dan kenyataan yang dikeluarkan oleh "yang diwawancara" banyak berbentuk provokasi.

Kebanyakan kekecohan yang berlaku masakini adalah serangan terhadap mereka di dalam sebuah negara yang mempunyai pegangan agama. Mangsa terkini ialah mereka yang beragama Islam.

Cara serangan adalah pelbagai:

a) ada yang menyerang ekonomi supaya ekonomi lumpuh dan bangkitnya rakyat berdemonstrasi menyebabkan ketidakstabilan, (kita sendiri tahu bahawa China mempunyai penduduk yang majoritinya Islam)

Dahulu, serangan demi serangan ekonomi dan kewangan di lakukan bagi menjatuhkan harga saham (umpamanya Boeing) dan kemudiannya memaksa syarikat-syarikat yang hampir muflis ini menjual semua saham/syer dan pegangan/kepentingan dengan harga yang terlalu murah. Maka terdapat syarikat-syarikat dari negara asing akan membelinya dan keuntungan mereka selepas itu adalah berlipat kali ganda.

b) ada pula yang melakukan serangan lebih halus iaitu aqidah contohnya Islam - contohnya isu penggunaan nama Allah di kalangan mereka yang bukan Islam, menyebabkan pergaduhan sesama sendiri (Islam) termasuk dengan kaum-kaum yang lain (yang beragama lain) sehingga orang-orang Islam sendiri berpecah kepada pelbagai i'tiqad. 

Selain itu terdapat pula ancaman serangan ajaran sesat.

c) Mengasyikkan manusia dengan teknologi terkini sehingga manusia menjadi lalai sehingga berlakunya kemalangan maut dan kerosakan minda sehingga berlakunya kehancuran dan pencemaran dalam institusi keluarga akibat teknologi. (penguasaan dan pembersihan minda secara halus)

d) Teknologi juga 'disediakan' bagi mereka yang 'disekat suaranya' supaya menggunakan media alternatif bagi menyuarakan rasa ketidakpuasan hati mereka dan berlakulah kekecohan.

e) serangan ekonomi juga berbentuk manipulasi - supaya terdapat jurang yang sangat besar di antara orang kaya dan orang miskin. Ianya juga akan telah menaikkan kadar jenayah kerana manusia ketiadaan sumber pendapatan.

f) Anak-anak kecil dan kaum wanita dijadikan mangsa di seluruh dunia dan ramai antara mereka telah mati dengan cara yang agak kejam dan tidak berperikemanusiaan.

Jika kita ingin bercakap tentang perkara ini sememangnya sukar untuk dilakukan secara terperinci. Apa yang kita bimbangkan dan sentiasa perlu diperhatikan ialah :

i) Arkitek utama konspirasi menyambut kedatangan Dajjal (menerusi Iluminati, Bilderberg dll seumpamanya dengan bantuan Azazil dan bala tenteranya) berjaya menawarkan 'syurga' kepada mereka yang menolak agama dan melakukan kekufuran/maksiat secara besar-besaran - arak, seks bebas, dll.

ii) Ini semua adalah satu 'diversion' (lencongan) agar perhatian kita semua ditumpukan kepada isu politik, sosial, ekonomi, agama dll. sementara Azazil, Dajjal dan tentera laknatullah mula melakukan kekacauan tanpa kita sedari - kerana KITA ASYIK BERGADUH SESAMA SENDIRI sehingga isu pertahanan menjadi goyah dan kita diserang secara MENGEJUT.

iii) Pembukaan sempadan juga mungkin cuba dilakukan supaya berlakunya impak negatif globalisasi gelombang kedua yang menyebabkan semua negara-negara di dunia akan tiada lagi ada sempadan - dan penduduk dunia boleh bebas keluar masuk (?)

iv) Kadang-kadang bimbang - dalam kebaikan serta layanan yang baik terhadap pelarian Islam ke negara yang bukan Islam - adakah terdapat muslihat lain? Jika tidak, Alhamdulillah, - jika ya?

Sekiranya berlaku sesuatu kekecohan dan kekacauan oleh mereka yang benci kepada orang-orang Islam, tujuan bagi melabelkan Islam sebagai agama 'terrorism'...bukankah mudah untuk menghapuskan orang-orang Islam yang hanya mengharapkan keamanan dan menumpang tuah di negara orang?

(bukan apa, ada di antara negara-negara ini yang pernah bersubahat dengan kebebasan bersuara (kononnya) sehingga berani melukis karikatur Nabi Muhammad S.A.W. dan ada pula negara besar yang ingin membakar Al-Qur'an - semuanya dilakukan untuk menaikkan kemarahan orang-orang Islam - kononnya membuktikan bahawa Islam bukan agama aman. Tiba-tiba negara-negara ini berbuat baik kepada pelarian-pelarian Islam.)

Untuk pengetahuan semua, pelarian-pelarian Islam dikatakan menaiki keretapi, van, bas dll dari negara masing-masing. Bagaimana pengangkutan telah disiapkan? Seolah-olah terdapat pihak yang lain pula mengatur pelarian-pelarian ini agar dapat memasuki beberapa buah negara Eropah (yang sedang menghadapi krisis dalaman ekonomi)

Adakah 'sengaja' dilakukan? Bagi kemudiannya membunuh atau menyusahkan pula orang-orang Islam yang ingin hidup secara aman? dan dilabelkan sebagai terrorist?

Apapun, semuanya ini sudah dalam perancangan Allah SWT

Cara yang boleh kita lakukan sekarang selain dari berdoa dan bertaubat dengan bersungguh-sungguh, agar kita tidak sama terkena bala serta musibah ini, kita juga perlu menyebarkan nilai-nilai yang murni kepada bukan sahaja sesama Islam tetapi juga kepada mereka yang bukan Islam.

Wallahualam, ianya sekadar satu renungan sahaja untuk kita sama-sama manfaatnya.

Tiada niat Pok Nik untuk menimbulkan kekecohan atau panik tetapi sama-samalah kita perhatikan - semasa kita terlalu sibuk dengan urusan politik dan ekonomi, adakah ada agenda lain secara senyap (discreet) sedang berlaku dan menyerang kita secara halus tanpa kita sedari. Jangan merendah-rendahkan petua lama orang Melayu - DAUN SIREH

Assalaamu'alaikum wbr. 

Tidaklah tujuan Pok Nik hari ini nak berbicara mengenai khasiat daun sirih kerana informasi ini sudah diketahui umum dan diiktiraf oleh pakar perubatan moden dan pengamal perubatan tradisional dari semua bangsa dan agama.

Tetapi apa yang terlintas di hati Pok Nik ialah mengenai petua memilih daun sireh (Piperaceae) yang diamalkan oleh orang-orang tua dahulukala :

1. Mengadap matahari terbit - dari segi sains, daun sireh yang mengadap matahari terbit (cahaya pagi) dapat ditembusi cahaya, yang sangat penting bagi fungsi utamanya iaitu fotosintesis menerusi pengambilan karbon dioksida.

2. Sireh bertemu urat - Dari tenaga fotosintesis ini pula, klorofil akan terhasil dan hal ini digambarkan dalam kehijauan (kesegaran) daun-daun sireh berkenaan. Ini kerana pertemuan urat ini akan memudahkan proses pengaliran makanan, respirasi stomata, transpirasi dll.

3. Sireh yang dipetik tidak boleh jatuh ke tanah - Jenis tanah yang biasa ditumbuhi sireh ialah yang mempunyai saliran yang baik, agak lembap dan mempunyai banyak bahan organik.

Rasionalnya agak jelas kerana tanah spt. ini memudahkan xilem dan floem berfungsi mengangkut air dan mineral menuju daun.

Jika daun sirih yang dipetik jatuh ke tanah, liang-liang di bawah daun sirih akan menyerap kekotoran.

Perlu diketahui bahawa sirih yang baru dipetik (segar) masih berfungsi dalam keadaan yang minima kerana telah diputuskan dari tangkai - maka ianya pasti akan menyerap kekotoran/bakteria yang ada pada tanah yang lembab.

Walaupun ianya di basuh, namun kekotoran itu akan menyebabkan daun sirih nampak tidak segar kerana klorofil yang tercemar dan mungkin kita juga boleh terkena penyakit lain pula jika memakannya.

Jadi kita perlu berbangga dan boleh mengamalkan petua-petua orang-orang terdahulu yang rata-rata berasal dari para ulama Nusantara yang mendapat ilham untuk mengubati sesuatu penyakit.

Janganlah kita memandang remeh dan menyatakan "adat atau petua itu kolot" kerana kata-kata ini melambangkan kedhaifan kita sendiri, walhal kita sendiri dan generasi muda hari ini mempelajari biologi dan botani tetapi tidak dapat mengaitkannya dengan petua memilih sirih.

Student Confirms That There Are Enormous Tubes Of Plasma Floating Above The Earth

A 60-year-old theory about the structure of the magnetic fields that surround Earth has been confirmed directly for the first time. The lead author of the paper is an undergraduate student who invented a way to view the Earth's magnetosphere in three dimensions.

The sun emits a constant stream of charged particles that's supplemented by cosmic rays from sources such as supernovae. As these particles approach Earth, their path is altered by the Earth's magnetic field, which deflects some and funnels others towards the poles, leading to displays such as aurora.

This region, known as the magnetosphere, includes the ionosphere and plasmasphere as its inner layers. These distinctions aside, we don't know all that much about the structure of these regions.

A better understanding would be useful because the ionosphere interferes with satellite navigation systems and the images received by radio telescopes. During her honors project at the University of Sydney, Cleo Loi realized she could use the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA) radio telescope to probe these regions in a way that had never been done before, leading to a paper in the journal Geophysical Research Letters. 

The MWA is a forerunner of the Square Kilometer Array (SKA), soon to transform radio astronomy. It consists of 128 antennae spread over three kilometers (almost two miles). Loi suggested that by splitting the observations between those from the eastern and western ends of the array, she would achieve something equivalent to binocular vision, allowing us to see in three dimensions.

For the MWA's usual astronomical work, a three-kilometer baseline does not give the parallax required to see in-depth, but the situation is very different when we are looking close to the Earth.

Loi detected a series of high and low density plasma tubes connecting the ionosphere and plasmasphere running in parallel to the magnetic field. "We measured their position to be about 600 kilometres [373 miles] above the ground, in the upper ionosphere, and they appear to be continuing upwards into the plasmasphere. This is around where the neutral atmosphere ends, and we are transitioning to the plasma of outer space," Loi said. The tubes move slowly with time, so telescopes experience changing interference effects.

Loi told IFLScience that while some limited probing has been done on the ionosphere with other radio telescopes such as the Very Large Array, no one to her knowledge has applied parallax to the problem previously.

“People theorized something like this from observations of a type of very low frequency electromagnetic wave. We can detect lightning from another hemisphere and people concluded there must be plasma tubes guiding the signal,” says Loi. “It's a very indirect conclusion, and no one had much idea what these tubes were like.”

Loi says she was amazed at how many tubes the MWA's enormous 30° field revealed. “There are no plans to use the SKA for studying the ionosphere, but I am hoping with publicity about this work to change that,” she says.

"For over 60 years, scientists believed these structures existed but by imaging them for the first time, we've provided visual evidence that they are really there," said Cleo Loi of the ARC Centre of Excellence for All-sky Astrophysics (CAASTRO) and School of Physics at the University of Sydney in Australia.

Ms Loi is the lead author on this research, undertaken as part of her award-winning undergraduate thesis and recently published in Geophysical Research Letters. In collaboration with international colleagues, she identified the structures.

"The discovery of the structures is important because they cause unwanted signal distortions that could, as one example, affect our civilian and military satellite-based navigation systems. So we need to understand them," Ms Loi said.

The region of space around Earth occupied by its magnetic field, called the magnetosphere, is filled with plasma that is created by the atmosphere being ionised by sunlight.

The innermost layer of the magnetosphere is the ionosphere, and above that is the plasmasphere. They are embedded with a variety of strangely shaped plasma structures including, as has now been revealed, the tubes.

"We measured their position to be about 600 kilometres above the ground, in the upper ionosphere, and they appear to be continuing upwards into the plasmasphere. This is around where the neutral atmosphere ends, and we are transitioning to the plasma of outer space," explained Ms Loi.

Using the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA), a radio telescope located in the Western Australian desert, Ms Loi found that she could map large patches of the sky and even exploit the MWA's rapid snapshot capabilities to create a movie -- effectively capturing the real-time motions of the plasma.

"We saw a striking pattern in the sky where stripes of high-density plasma neatly alternated with stripes of low-density plasma. This pattern drifted slowly and aligned beautifully with the Earth's magnetic field lines, like aurorae," Ms Loi said.

"We realised we may be onto something big and things got even better when we invented a new way of using the MWA."

The MWA consists of 128 antenna 'tiles' spread over an area roughly three by three kilometres that work together as one instrument -- but by separating the signals from tiles in the east from the ones in the west, the astronomers gave the MWA the power to see in 3D.

"This is like turning the telescope into a pair of eyes, and by that we were able to probe the 3D nature of these structures and watch them move around," said Ms Loi.

"We were able to measure the spacing between them, their height above the ground and their steep inclination. This has never been possible before and is a very exciting new technique."

This ability adds yet another accolade to the MWA's name after it had already proven its worth as a powerful precursor instrument to the Square Kilometre Array (SKA), and now the MWA's 3D vision has the potential to provide many more in-depth analyses of the formation of plasma structures.

"It is to Cleo's great credit that she not only discovered this but also convinced the rest of the scientific community. As an undergraduate student with no prior background in this, that is an impressive achievement," said Ms Loi's supervisor Dr Tara Murphy, also of CAASTRO and School of Physics at the University of Sydney.

"When they first saw the data, many of her senior collaborators thought the results were literally 'too good to be true' and that the observation process had somehow corrupted the findings, but over the next few months, Cleo managed to convince them that they were both real and scientifically interesting."

Problem solving has, in this new generation found a more positive approach in that more focus is provided to the solution than the problem itself. This is a good shift away from the old problem-based orientation as it provides a variety of methods to apply. Thus, instead of focusing on passive 'problem-solving', it is the more active 'solving problems'.

In the EnSync methodology of solving problems called SPEED, there are several levels of focus: 1 principle which outlines the approach, 2 strategies that provide high-level orientations, 4 pillars of values and a categorisation of 4 problem types.

SPEED Principle

The principle of SPEED is "Carefully extract a strand of hair from a mound of flour. The hair is unbroken while the flour remains undisturbed". A direct translation of this Melayu proverb would mean: "Extracting a strand of hair from a mound of flour. The hair is unbroken while the flour remains undisturbed.

The proverb speaks of making small but significant changes that minimise disruption yet achieves the objectives of the changes.

SPEED Strategies

The 2 core strategies of SPEED are:

1. "Help others sincerely in solving THEIR problems and Allah will make YOUR problems easier to resolve" - This is accepting that man was created to serve Allah, thus play a role in creating peace on Earth as His vicegerents. As such, His blessings are available for anyone who truly assist others to save them from difficulty. Even if you do not know how, Allah will show you the way. Just want to help, and help will come.

In a non-religious sense, it creates a bank of account of goodwill (thank you Dr Stephen Covey) that can certainly help when you are in need.

2. "Ask for help" - Keeping a problem to oneself will only stretch the limit of human capacity. By sharing his challenges and goals, one widens his capacity to receive assistance by other people or communities. Asking for help from Allah and His creation is not a sign of weakness. It is, in fact, a sign of humility.

SPEED Pillars

SPEED is built upon 4 pillars, meaning when you inculcate these as your lifelong values, they will support your solving efforts. They are:

1. Acceptance - this refers to redha. Accept the reality of the situation and quickly move to resolve it.

2. Confidence - this refers to yaqin. Every disease has its cure. Every problem has a resolution, whether it resolves in your favour or otherwise. Therefore, become involved in the problem and solve it in your favour rather than stand back and do nothing.

3. Determination - this is doing everything with stamina and passion to find a solution, even if you don't see it yet. Have faith. "Dalam segala apa yang kita lakukan, lakukanlah bersungguh-sungguh".

4. Improvement - this refers to muhasabah. When you are once burned, why get a credit card again? After the tsunami, Malaysia is now better prepared. After our personal tsunamis, we want to be better prepared too.

Risk or Issue?

A problem is identified first as a Risk or an Issue. A risk is a potential problem and an issue is a present problem. Most people solve issues yet forget that risks, when left unprepared for, can develop exponentially into issues.

In a car, a neglecting to change a RM300 timing belt can easily escalate to becoming a RM3000 engine overhaul. A habit of not wearing the seatbelt can easily cause sudden and painful orphanhood.

Problem Types

SPEED recognises that analysing problems is the first step to understanding its complexity since most problems have many moving parts. It is because of this that solvers sometimes oversimplify a problem and aren't able to resolve the cause-and-effects of a complex 'problem'.

To see clearer, SPEED categorises all problems into only 4 types, represented by the acronym PDRM:

1. Process - resolving bottlenecks, blockages, lack of resources, delays, etc to maintain a controllable and desirable flow of value.

2. Decisions - weighing between two or more similar options and choosing between them based on merit and being able to defend the decision.

3. Relationships - communicating clearly and persuading other people with as minimal emotional turmoil as possible to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome.

4. Motivation - individual drive.

Most problems come as a mix of two or all four of the above, which, as previously mentioned, makes solving them challenging. Some people categorise health problems as a process issue. All they need is the money for an operation. Once they have it, they believe the problem is solved.

There is also the possibility that one's health problem affects one's motivation to live thus contributes them to die in the operating room or to take too long to heal.

This strains familial relationships. Thus, in this case, the 'health' problem comes bundled 3 disguised as 1.

Therefore, analyse the problems separately and solve them at the same time rather than sequentially.

Final Solution (Islamic version)

As human beings, we must accept that our ability to process problems are very limited, even when we work together en masse. Thus, the realisation that Allah is the Ultimate Solver leads us to use that final and most powerful of tools in our toolbox, and that is supplication (du'a). For solving problems certainly feels like going to war, and Du'a is the weapon of the mu'minun.

Solving Someone Else's Problems Can Help Solve Yours

The SPEED Principle and Strategies shared in the article Solving Problems Efficiently, Effectively & Decisively are the core of the SPEED method. In fact, I often tell learners who attend my programs that should they forget everything else I tell them, to remember these principle and strategies.

The Principle

The principle of SPEED is "Menarik rambut dalam tepung. Rambut tidak putus, tepung tidak berselerak". A direct translation of this Melayu proverb would mean: "Carefully extract a strand of hair from a mound of flour. The hair is unbroken while the flour remains undisturbed".

The Melayu people of the Malaysian Peninsula are well known for their love of status quo. Thus, rocking the boat is mostly not an option. When it comes to solving problems then, they are masters at business-as-usual while navigating a change.

Problems that arise are quickly handled by the experienced people in society, and done with the assistance of the community, getting everyone's input, either directly or by proxy. Thus, the very emotionally cautious Melayu will get all sides of a story before proceeding. Their aim is long-term stability with everyone's buy-in and commitment, not short term fixes.

The Strategies

The 2 core strategies of SPEED are:

1. "Help others sincerely in solving THEIR problems and Allah will make YOUR problems easier to resolve" - This is accepting that man was created to serve Allah, thus play a role in creating peace on Earth as His vicegerents. As such, His blessings are available for anyone who truly assist others to save them from difficulty. Even if you do not know how, Allah will show you the way. Just want to help, and help will come.

In a non-religious sense, it creates a bank of account of goodwill (thank you Dr Stephen Covey) that can certainly help when you are in need.

2. "Ask for help" - Keeping a problem to oneself will only stretch the limit of human capacity. By sharing his challenges and goals, one widens his capacity to receive assistance by other people or communities. Asking for help from Allah and His creation is not a sign of weakness. It is, in fact, a sign of humility.

These strategies take someone from a defensive position in handling their problems and puts them into an active position. It also provides a fresh pair of eyes, a different perspective to your problems while at the same time, giving a fresh perspective to someone else's.

In the modern world, individualism cannot make use of these strategies, but communities who practice interdependence such as families, tightly-knit teams and organisations, and of course, the Ummah, experience this solution barter on a daily basis.

Putting the core to work

When deciding to solve a problem, ask yourself these:

1. Who is available to support you?

Who are your close family members, neighbours or friends who are available to help out? Forget about any past relations, crises or issues that could cloud the present. Most important is to identify who they are. Then, offer your assistance for Allah's sake, even if rejected, for things that are within your ability. Support them in their time of need, even if they think they don't need you. This has helped break down barriers, heal old issues and strengthen already strong relationships.

2. Who else can benefit from your assistance?

The hand that gives is above the hand that receives, meaning Allah blesses those who give out of the kindness of their hearts, even to those who don't know them. This doesn't just refer to outright charity in the modern sense. It is kindness in thought, word, and action. It is what charity used to mean. Give, and don't look back or ask for anything in return. Give with your right hand in a way that your left hand knows nothing about it.

3. Can I ask of Allah AND of His servants?

There are people who will help you and there are people who will not. But the people who know what is the right thing to do subscribe to goodness, irrespective of what religion (or not) they are. They are simply good. Supplicate to Allah for His help, and look to the people He sends to help you. Ask of them, appreciate them, and reward them with your own help.

What now?

With social media now connecting everyone around the world, look on your news feed. Someone who could use a kind word, a small donation, an old bicycle you would have thrown away, a visit, a recommendation for a job, anything at all, is someone who needs your help.

What normally happens, is, by solving someone else's problem and not focusing on yours, you allow yourself to take an emotional distance from the impact your problem has on you to practice your solving skills.

Akin to taking baby steps, you actually prime yourself with courage to tackle your own. And who knows, by the time you're ready to fight, you'll have an army of people behind you to help you wage your war.

Help, and you will get help.
